Setup: AI access
Give your CEO separate AI access for planning and review: a supported API key or model account, or included Crewshal credit when offered. A Claude or ChatGPT plan through the runner runs coding work on your computer after planning.

- A supported model account or API key. Add an organization key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter. Hosted work, such as the CEO's planning when your computer is off, can use it.
- Included Crewshal credit. When your Crewshal server offers it and a supported provider is available, it pays only for requests that fit the remaining credit and budget. The page shows its state.
- A Claude or ChatGPT plan through the runner. It runs coding work on your computer after the CEO has AI access for planning and review. It does not replace the CEO's hosted AI access.
Your CEO needs option 1 or 2 for hosted planning. The page shows when hosted AI access is configured. Access and budget are checked when work starts.

The subscription card shows a command to run on your computer:
- Claude:
claude auth login --claudeai - ChatGPT (Codex):
codex login
The command opens the vendor's own sign-in page. Crewshal never asks for, reads or stores those logins.
Add an API keyLink to Add an API key
Select the Provider, paste the API key and select Connect key. Crewshal checks the key with one free, read-only call before it saves it. The key is encrypted. Only its last four characters are shown again. The status is Works, Refused or Not checked.

The pill shows available, not limited, used up or unknown. When it is used up, add a supported model account or API key. A runner plan still supports only local coding after planning. See The included allowance.
Continue without a modelLink to Continue without a model
You can select Continue setup for later. Work waits until you add hosted AI access for your CEO. Add it later in Model accounts.
