Set up for me

"Set up for me" does the first part of setup in one click. It reads your website, saves your brief, picks where work runs and applies the recommended settings. It stops where it needs you.

What it doesLink to What it does

The Set up for me card is at the top of the first page of a new setup. It does these tasks in order:

  1. Read your website. Crewshal reads your public pages. See The website import.
  2. Save your brief and brand. Crewshal saves the business brief and the brand from the import.
  3. Choose where work runs. Crewshal picks your computer or Crewshal's cloud, from the device you use.
  4. Apply the recommended setup. Crewshal applies the values in Recommended setup.

You see each task as it runs. Only an owner or an admin can start it.

Before you startLink to Before you start

Type your website first, for example acme.com. When you signed up with a company email address, Crewshal starts to read that domain when you arrive. Free email addresses are not used.

Where it stopsLink to Where it stops

It stops on the first page that needs you:

  • Your business, when new first-task ideas need your review. Edit or remove ideas, then select Continue setup.
  • Your computer, when you chose your computer and no runner is online yet, or runners are not allowed yet.
  • AI access, when your CEO has no model yet.
  • First task, when your computer and AI access are ready. A repository is not required for this step. Your CEO can plan and write documents without one. Connect a repository on the Repositories page before you ask for code work.

The card "Crewshal set these up for you" lists each choice. Select Change next to a choice to open its page.

When a task failsLink to When a task fails

The card shows stopped next to the task and says why. Fix the problem, then select Run it again. You can also continue by hand. Nothing is lost.

What it does not doLink to What it does not do

It does not connect WhatsApp, connect repositories or send a first task. You do these yourself, because each needs your approval at another company or your own words.
